Register to take the nationally recogized Adult Mental Health First Aid course. This training is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use challenges.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.

Community Health Worker Training Program for Scholars

AHEC Scholars have the opportunity to participate in the PA AHEC Accredited Community Health Worker (CHW) Training Program as part of the PA AHEC Scholars Program curriculum.

This Community Health Worker Training Program experience provides Scholars the opportunity to learn about the role and management of CHWs plus eligibility for certification.
